New mine site approval documentation including impact assessments on the Matters of National Environmental Significant (MNES) from mining operations impacting vegetation clearing, fauna and flora, and weeds and pests. Project milestone reporting to identify the implementation of environmental approval conditions related to fauna, flora and weeds.

FAUNA & FLORA MANAGEMENT

Fauna and flora management plans including site surveys to identify the likely species impacted from the construction and operational activities. Monitoring fauna species, developing species management plans and implementation of controls for reduced clearance impact to the mine sites wildlife and vegetation.

FAUNA SPOTTERS & VEGETATION OFFICERS

Fauna spotter/catchers & vegetation officers in the field during clearance activities for new mine site developments, associated rail infrastructure and coal terminal upgrades. Fauna trapping and release program to relocate identified significant species impacted by the construction activities and rehabilitate to suitable area.

OFFSET MANAGEMENT & FLORA RELOCATION

Offset strategy to compensate for authorised unavoidable impacts on significant species. Relocation of identified protected flora species to designated rehabilitation sites with associated reporting and montoring.
